On March 18, 2019, TÜV Rheinland (hereinafter referred to as TUV Rheinland), a leading international third-party testing, inspection and certification organization, successfully carried out eCall STU and component level certification tests for Flairmicro Microelectronics Co., Ltd., including European Union (EU) 2015/758, (EU) 2017/79 and UN R144.

Flairmicro successfully obtained the relevant certificate issued by the European Ministry of Transport and became the first manufacturer in China to obtain the eCall certificate. The acquisition of this certificate has laid the foundation for Flairmicro's strength in the field of product safety development, and it is also the embodiment of Flairmicro's determination to further advance the automotive electronics market.

It is mainly used to automatically or manually send a call for help to the public answering platform when the vehicle has an accident or the occupants encounter an emergency, and provide relevant information such as the location of the vehicle, thereby greatly shortening the time of emergency rescue of accidents. According to the EU vehicle certification requirements, from April 1, 2018, all high-volume M1 and N1 vehicles exported to EU must be equipped with an E-Call system that complies with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2015/758.

In this project, Mr. Rudolf Gerlach, TUV Rheinland technical expert and member of the working group of the United Nations World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29), conducted a high-speed impact test on the T-Box in accordance with Annex I of (EU) 2017/79 and Appendix 9 and 11 of UN R144.

Mr. Georg Hariskos, a communication expert at TUV Rheinland Electronics, conducted (EU) 2017/79 Annexes I, VI, VII, VII and UN R144 Annex 10 on T-Box positioning performance, self-test, privacy and data protection.

The content involved in this certification product is complex, the satellite navigation system includes Galileo, GPS, Glonass and SBAS, and the certification object categories include Component, STU, AECC and AECD. After detailed and careful experimental testing and verification, Flairmicro's T-Box fully comply with the regulatory requirements.
